Websites provide the RSS format for the syndication of their content, this is only a part of the process . The other part requires the visitor to install what is referred to as a news aggregator . These two components allows you, the visitor, to quickly view our latest headlines with out actually launching your browser . Most common news aggregators refresh the website's syndicated information when you start the program or once an hour (usually adjustable within the program). This whole process gives you a snapshot of Mary's Yellowstone at any given time .
Here is where the two buttons are used:
.
The first button [XML] is used to view the raw data. The second button
[Subscribe] is used to subscribe to the RSS Feed via a website that has
been setup to allow you to automatically one-click subscribe depending on which
news aggregator you choose. Once you have chosen the [Subscribe] button, you are
transported to a website that has a list of News Aggregators that you can choose
to download.
